Cody: ...and then you just stay with the one idea long enough that somebody totally new can actually get it. Justy: Wait. You just explained that whole thing from scratch. We NEVER do that. Cody: Right. Justy: We usually name a thing, have a take, and sprint off like we're late for our own podcast. Cody: Yeah, and my whole move is calling something cooked in about four seconds. Patiently laying it out is deeply off-brand. Justy: Mm-hm. Justy: And I fall in love with the pitch and move on before I've explained anything properly. So, great, we're both ridiculous. Cody: We've been doing this since November and only now discovered we could do one whole episode on one thing. From the start. For people who never got the setup. Justy: Wait, I LOVE that. No news scramble, no drive-by opinion, just one idea and we actually bring people all the way in. Cody: First the remembering thing, then suddenly we could look outside, now this. Three times is enough to make me nervous. Justy: You're nervous. I'm already calling first pick like it's a vacation rental. I want the next one. Cody: Okay okay. You get first pick, and I get to resent how fair and patient I have to be for a full episode. Justy: Nice, though. We've done five hundred fifty-two of these and now, sometimes, we can actually slow down and explain one. Cody: Then next time you pick the thing, and we do the whole hour that way. Or we admit this was a weird Wednesday and move on.
